ReadyShot® was born from our personal need to get ready, with our own personal handguns, in our own home, using realistic situations and simulations. Our desire to protect what matters most to us, our family, led us to purchase handguns. But owning a gun is just the first step. We also needed to become comfortable and proficient, competent and ready.
We are not ex-military or law-enforcement. We periodically go to our local gun range and fire a few rounds with each gun. At the range we are required to use very specific methods. Drawing our gun from its holster, and all other types of tactical simulation, are forbidden.
Practicing at home via dry firing is extremely important, and can satisfy many training needs, however no accuracy feedback is available and no loud sound is produced. With GLOCKS®, after you dry fire once, you must cycle the slide. This makes it difficult to efficiently practice tactical situations. This need for realistic practice in our own home was the reason we created ReadyShot®
